【初めに】
PrayForJapan.jpは鶴田浩之(http://www.facebook.com/mocchicc)と西尾健太郎(http://www.facebook.com/oppo240)によって作成されました。最初は日本語のみの「心に残ったツイート」(http://prayforjapan.jp/tweet.html) を公開していました。しかし、Facebook上で多くの人々がこれらをたくさんの言語で翻訳してくれました。そして鶴田と西尾の２名は、徹夜をして、ブ ログのシステムを利用して新しいツイートやその翻訳をどんどん追加していけるようにしてくれました。それが現在の「地震発生後に投稿された心に残るつぶや きまとめ」(http://prayforjapan.jp/message/)です。
今後は、この新しいシステムを利用して翻訳をしていきます。その翻訳スタッフは３月１４日までにFacebookページのノートエリアに掲載されている方々を中心に依頼しています。
[ Beggining ]
PrayForJapan.jp was made by H.Tsuruda(http://www.facebook.com/mocchicc) and K.Nishio(http://www.facebook.com/oppo240), who were at Tochigi pref.(next to Fukushima). They opend the site “Memorable tweets” only in Japanese(http://prayforjapan.jp/tweet.html). However, many volunteers treid to translate these tweets. So these two university students began to work hard, even in mid-night, and then they made a new system which allows to add new tweets and its translation easily. That is the newest site called “The Collection of memorable, heart-warming tweets posted after the earthquake in Japan.”(http://prayforjapan.jp/message/)
After now, our translationproject uses this system. The chief staff(I) have already offerd project staffs who had posted translations by March 14.

【今後のお願い】
今後のサイトの翻訳作業は各言語３名ほどで実施していきます。
そこで今後、Facebook上の皆様には別の形で翻訳プロジェクトに関わっていただきます。
１．ウォールに書かれた外国語のポストやコメントを日本語に、逆に日本語を外国語（主に英語）に翻訳してください。
その際は、ポストに対するコメントとして翻訳をお願いします。
２．日本語以外の言語で「心に残るつぶやき」がある方は、専用のディスカッションエリア(http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=205143919498472&topic=279)にお知らせください。
その際、原文そのままで載せてください。また、その文章が何語かと、誰の発言かを明記してください。

混乱を避けるために、ウォールやディスカッションエリアに新たな言語の翻訳を載せるのは避けてください。
５．ご自身が使える外国語を使って、Facebookでサイトを告知してください。

1. Please translate posts and comments on the wall, Foerign language to Japanese, and J to F. When you do this, please write translations as comments.
2. Please collect and tell us the “memorable, heart-warming” tweets and posts. Let us know on the discussions area(http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=205143919498472&topic=279). When you do this, please tell us with original version, the language, and who wrote the tweets or posts.
3. If you find any mistakes on the newst web-site, please let us know on the discussions area(http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=205143919498472&topic=280). Please DO NOT post on any notes or discussions, but the spesific disucussion topic.
4. If you can translate any other NEW language, let me know that you want to do with an e-mail to chied staff. Please send to < pfj_ml[at]enshino.biz >. Please DO NOT post any new translations on wall or discussions area, to prevent my confusing.
5. Please share the newest site with your facebook friends, USING YOUR MOTHER TOUNG and LANGUAGE YOU CAN USE.
【最後に】
こ れまで、ツイッターのハッシュタグ#PrayForJapanには驚くほど多くのツイートが海外から寄せられました。しかも英語だけではない言語で多くの 方が祈ってくださったのです。私は、一人の日本人として、これだけ多くの応援と祈りに、感謝を述べなければならないと考えました。
また、宮城・福島・茨城の３県だけでも、外国人登録者数は８万４千人を超えます。そうした、日本語を母語としない人々は、日本語で押し寄せる”情報の津波”を完全に理解できずにいるのではないかと考えました。彼らの不安は、彼らの母語でこそ取り除けるのだと思いました。
だからこそ、鶴田と西尾の２人がはじめたPrayForJapan.jpには可能性を感じたのです。
一つは、震災で混乱する中でも、優しい心と勇気を持っているストーリーを多言語で紹介することで、世界の人々に「日本は大丈夫です。ありがとう。」というメッセージを発信できること。
もう一つは、たくさんの日本のツイッターユーザーを勇気づけてくれた日本語の「心に残るつぶやき」を多言語に翻訳することで、日本語を母語としない人々の不安を取り除けるかもしれないこと。
そ して、このFacebookページには、たくさんの外国語のメッセージが続々と寄せられています。きっと、それらを日本語に翻訳することで、被災地の日本 人の不安が取り除かれ、勇気づけられるかもしれないと思います。実際に、僕も外国語のポストをみて、勇気づけられました。それらを、日本語で届けたい。
たくさんの「ありがとう」と「大丈夫」を届けることが、私がこのプロジェクトをやっている目的です。それは今、この震災のことを考えている全ての人に届けたい気持ちなのです。日本語を話すか、それ以外の言語を話すかなんて、関係ない。
だからみなさん、翻訳プロジェクトに、力を貸してください。
[ Lastly ]
We got so so so many #PrayForJapan tweets from all over the world, not only English, but with many language lots of people pray for Japan. I came to think that I, as one of Japanese, must say many thanks for many cheering and praying.
On the other hand, over 84,000 foeringer live in 3 prefectures(Miyagi, Fukushima, and Ibaraki). These people whose mother toung is not Japanese must fight with huge, strong “Tsunami of Informations,” and even they can’t understand informations. Only mother toungs can remove their anxiety, I think.
These are because I feel high-potential for PrayForJapan.jp when I saw the site made by Tsuruda and Nishida.
One is that we can spread messages to people all over the world, by introducing tweets and stories of kindness and courages in multi language, such as “We, Japan is alright. Thank you.”
Ohter is that we can remove anxiety of people whose 1st language isn’t Japanese, by translationg Japanese “memorable, heart-warming” tweets which have given Japanese people courages in Multi-Languages.
And now on this facebook page, we’ve got many many many messages in foerign languages. These messages can ease Japanese people in areas of disaster. I myself also felt happy when I read ones of them. I want to send these messages in JAPANESE.
My main purpose of this project is to send many “Thank you” and “We’re OK.” These are messages for all people who are thinking of this earthquake disaster. There is no matter wether you speak Japanese or other languages.
So, all in this page, our friends, give your power of helping this translation project.
